Product Info
Our hickory reclaimed wood flooring boards may feature unique grain variations, knots, and other characteristics – no two boards will be the same. Your home or office floor will reflect enduring beauty and old-world charm for years to come.
Much of our reclaimed hardwood flooring comes from resawing larger beams into boards then milling into flooring. Therefore, our reclaimed boards may likely have more grain characteristics and "defects" compared to new manufactured flooring. Please keep this in mind when purchasing.
Lengths of each piece range from 1 ft to 8 ft. with the average length of our reclaimed wood flooring being 5 ft. There is a 100 sq ft minimum due to freight costs. Please keep this in mind when making your purchase so you order enough for your project the first time.
We highly recommend ordering for AT LEAST 10% more flooring area than you need to account for cutoffs, defects and waste.
Accuracy of the shipping information is the sole responsibility of the customer. You will incur any additional costs or fees associated with errors in shipping information.
Most orders will process and ship within 3-10 business days (Monday thru Friday), but can sometimes ship sooner.
Modern Timber Craft does not guarantee delivery dates and is not responsible for unforeseen circumstances beyond its control. Please allow for potential delays in transit time or delays caused by supply chain disruptions.
As all sales are final, failure to schedule a delivery appointment or refusal of a shipment once it has arrived at your location does not release you from the full-price obligation of the order.
Shipping lead time will depend on the item(s) purchased and the destination zip code.
LTL (Freight) Deliveries:
Include one attempt by the shipping company to deliver the shipment to you. All shipping notifications will be sent via email. If for any reason you are unavailable to receive the shipment and the order is not deliverable under any circumstances, you will be responsible for any extra shipping and handling charges.
Delivery to your address may be limited by location or other circumstances. We reserve the right to change delivery methods and/or carriers. If a scheduled delivery cannot take place due to weather, truck issues etc., the carrier will call and reschedule. Modern Timber Craft is not responsible for any losses due to a delay in shipment.
Destinations with limited access or that require special delivery are subject to additional shipping fees.
Deliveries are made M-F, 8am-5pm (excluding holidays)
You must provide a clean dry area prepared prior to receiving the order.
Customer requested changes to the delivery address will be subject to a $25 fee if made prior to the order shipping from the warehouse and a $50 fee if made after leaving the warehouse but prior to the first delivery attempt.
Unless otherwise stipulated, deliveries will NOT be brought into your home. You are responsible for transporting items from the street into the property. In certain instances, assisting the freight carrier’s driver with some off-loading from the truck may be necessary.
You must inspect your order for visible damages or missing items while the driver is present. All damages and/or missing items must be noted on the delivery receipt/bill of lading while the driver is present. Paperwork must include signatures of both you and the driver.
Modern Timber Craft will not be held responsible for missing items not noted on the delivery paperwork at the time of delivery.
Warranties are void for deliveries outside of the continental US.

Most flooring orders will be palletized and sent LTL. This means that a tractor trailer will be arriving with pallet(s) of material that will need to unloaded curbside.
Once an LTL (less than truckload) shipment arrives at the final-destination terminal, the third-party carrier will contact the customer to schedule a delivery. Failure to establish a delivery appointment with the carrier will result in the carrier charging storage fees until such time as the delivery can be made.
Customers are solely responsible for any/all storage fees incurred.
The customer (or authorized representative) must be present to accept delivery and must be 18 years of age or older.
For LTL shipments; Residential delivery is defined as CURBSIDE DELIVERY.
Deliveries will NOT be brought into a customer’s home. Customer is responsible for transporting items from the street into the property.

Paperwork must include signatures of both the customer and the driver. Customers have the right to demand the driver waits until an inspection for visible damages is complete.
Customers should accept orders with visible shipping damages after noting the damages on the delivery paperwork. Doing so will facilitate the claims process and enable Modern Timber Craft to replace the damaged items more quickly.
Bills of lading may include the number of cartons which may not coincide with the number of items on the order as some items are packaged together. You must check that all items on the order have been received before signing the paperwork.
Modern Timber Craft will not be held responsible for missing items not noted on the delivery paperwork at the time of delivery.
Concealed damages and missing items must be reported within 72 hours. Customers are responsible to open and inspect the entire order within 72 hours or any claims for concealed damages or missing items may be denied.
If your delivery address is not accessible by a 53’ tractor trailer, a “straight truck” is required to deliver to your location. In this case, depending on the weight of your items, a lift-gate may be required to off-load your order from the truck.
A lift-gate is a device used to raise and lower items from ground level to the level of a tractor trailer. Freight companies deliver items on a tractor trailer which is approximately 56 inches above the ground. These trailers are designed to load and unload at a loading dock or with a fork-lift.
Straight truck delivery is delivered on a smaller truck than a regular 53’ tractor trailer. A straight truck would be required for residences that may be on a dirt road, dead end street or any location where a tractor trailer would not be able to easily deliver to the curb.
