    Available options include Linseed oil and Unfinished which is suitable for any stain, oil, tint, shellac or polyurethane (cut ends are finished to blend into natural color).

    3 inch thickness x 10 inch depth x 12 – 96 inch width (custom sizes available). Thickness and depth can vary up to 1/2 inch but are generally within 1/4 inch.

    Wood Origin

    These mantels are sourced from historic barns and other structures throughout the Eastern United States dating from the 1700's to the early 1900's. Popular locations include Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Ohio and Kentucky.

A solid reclaimed barn wood 3x10 fireplace mantel shelf, bracket mounts and hardware are all included. The back of each piece will be routed to help hide the brackets, but pieces are NOT pre-drilled for the corresponding hardware, unless the upgraded bracket is purchased. Holes will need to be drilled into the back of the product in accordance with the bracket location on the wall. This requires a 1/2" drill bit.

Finishing the wood can change the color dramatically. For example, yellow pine tends to end up more reddish and white pine can look brownish but that's not always the case. Other factors that impact appearance are the age of the piece, the environment in which it spent its life, and the overall condition.

We offer a 14 day return policy on unaltered pieces. If the return is processed within 14 days of delivery, the customer is responsible only for the return shipment cost.

Custom orders/items will be charged a 20% restocking fee, regardless of how long it has been since delivery.

If the return is not initiated within 14 days of delivery, the customer is then responsible for the return shipment cost and a 20% restocking fee will apply.

Any items not returned within 30 days or altered in any way (including drilling for mounting hardware) will not be eligible for a refund. We are not responsible for return shipment fees.

After receiving and inspecting returned items, Modern Timber Craft reserves the right to reject any return if items are not in the proper condition.
